Dental inlays are conservative, minimally invasive treatments that seek to fully preserve the healthy structure of the tooth and remove only the affected part, they are used only in molars and premolars, they aim to restore teeth function with very large restorations avoiding fractures, they are more resistant than direct resins that are performed in the clinic and additionally, they have high aesthetics, excellent adaptation, and sealing.
Dental inlays have specific indications; the molar to be restored should have 70% of the dental remnant healthy, patients should have good dental hygiene and it is recommended in patients with a low caries index. They should be made in a ceramic material to generate great resistance, adaptation, and esthetics.
